Our
Vision

To save our planet by transitioning the world to biocrafting.

Our
Mantra

Entrepreneurs do more than anyone thinks possible, with less than anyone thinks possible.

We believe true entrepreneurship is not about having unlimited resources, but about creating extraordinary impact with determination, creativity, and focus. It is this mindset that fuels our mission to redefine what industries can achieve through biocraft.

Who is behind GALY?

Luciano picture

That would be Luciano,
a curious mind and entrepreneur who saw the future of materials in a completely different way.

The questionunderline

Luciano started with a simple but bold question: what if the world's most essential materials could be grown, not extracted? This idea, born out of both curiosity and conviction, became the foundation of GALY.

The challengeunderline

In the early days, the challenge was enormous. Reimagining how industries source cocoa, cotton, and beyond meant questioning systems that had been in place for centuries. But instead of being discouraged, Luciano embraced the complexity. With a small team, limited resources, and an outsized vision, GALY began developing the first prototypes of biocraft materials.

The visionunderline

What started as experiments in the lab quickly caught the attention of partners and investors who believed in the same vision: materials that combine quality, scalability, and responsibility. Step by step, GALY grew from an ambitious idea into a global platform.

Today, GALY stands at the forefront of biocraft, shaping a supply model that is reliable, transparent, and ready to scale. Yet our journey is only beginning, and it is through bold partnerships and shared purpose that we will redefine what industries can achieve.

Evolution of
GALY,
milestones

2019

GALY was born with a bold idea: what if the world's most essential materials could be grown differently? From that question, our journey began.

2020

We all know what happened that year, right? But we didn't stop. We opened our first GALY-owned lab inside a shipping container and won the Global Change Award from the H&M Foundation, proof that our vision mattered.

2021

We achieved our first proof of concept with Literally Cotton. That same year, GALY was honored with the LVMH Innovation Award in the Sustainability category, showing that the world was ready for change.

2022

We moved from Western Massachusetts to Boston, expanded our team, and saw our creations grow in large-scale reactors. New products started taking shape, and our vision became more tangible than ever.

2023

A historic milestone: we signed our first long-term sourcing agreement and introduced the very first fabric made with GALY Cotton. What once was just an idea became a product in the world.

And Beyond

2024

Our journey has only just begun. We continue pushing boundaries, scaling biocraft for industries worldwide, and proving that innovation can transform not only materials but entire industries.
